And my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

Prayer is a must in a believer’s walk with God. We all should be constantly seeking God and His face in every aspect of our lives and in every circumstance (1st Thessalonians 5:17). It takes humility to realize that we really are not in control and that apart from Jesus we are hopeless in our endeavors. It takes humility, to stop in the midst of doing life, to pray. Seeking God means we have turned our backs on our old lifestyles as we begin to walk in the new life that Jesus offers. Does this mean we are perfect overnight? Yeah right! When we decide to follow Jesus, we are called by His name and called His children and called to a new life. Therefore, we have humbled ourselves to a point beyond our own power and began to seek something beyond our humanity. We have begun to see our brokenness and the mess our lives had become. And in all this, God will hear us from heaven, forgive our sins, and allow healing to begin. After all, I believe that God’s heart for sending Jesus is to forgive us of our sins and to restore a living and loving relationship with His children (us). To heal and rescue us from our pain and brokenness (John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:17-19; Exodus 2:23-25). But we must seek God in prayer with a sincere, humble, and broken heart. Read More
