The saying is “when it rains, it pours”, but isn’t it also true, “when it’s as hot as can be, the air conditioner goes out”? The Cookeville Rescue Mission found this to be true when temperatures recently hit 90 degrees. And where did the air conditioning stop working? The kitchen! As you can imagine, cooking under such extreme conditions is not only unpleasant, it can actually be a health hazard. But on the same day the Mission was quoted the cost of a new A/C compressor, it also received a well-timed donation from an anonymous donor that figures to cover almost half of the cost of the new unit. All praise to God, our gracious Provider whose timing is always perfect.
